A little bit about me

I'm a recent graduate of BSc (Hons) Internet Computing where I achieved a First. My hobbies include web development, learning new technologies, history, going to the cinema and cycling.

I used to go to the cinema fairly regularly when I was a student, but I don't have as much spare time now that I'm employed full time.

I've volunteered for a few things in the past, the most interesting of which is described below.

Volunteer Projectionist for Bradford Student Cinema

  • A position of great responsibility, as I have to set up the sound system, prepare the film, load it into the projector and oversee the projection of it by myself.
  • Worked with other team members to ensure the smooth running of the programme
  • Demonstrates how I can work successfully both individually and as part of a team towards a common goal.

History

  • My interest in history covers the Russian Revolution and the Second World War
  • I regularly read several books, newspaper articles, blogs, website articles and watch many factual programmes and documentaries about these areas of history
  • This demonstrates how I can research information from different sources, examine alternate points of view and produce an informed decision and opinion.
